Henry Samuel Asbil 1938-2025
On September 24th, Hank passed away peacefully at Rivière Rouge Hospital.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Judy Asbil (née Edward). He will be deeply missed by his daughters Laurie and Tracy, his granddaughter Erin, and his great-granddaughter Everly.
Hank lived life to the fullest — with love and generosity, humour and kindness. He made the world a better place. A devoted friend, he cherished his many lifelong friendships and always stayed in touch. Everyone could count on him. He had a deep love of nature. All creatures, great and small, held a special place in his heart. The world has lost a one of a kind.
As per his wishes, a private cremation will be held, and he will be laid to rest alongside Judy at Rawdon Anglican Cemetery.

My condolences to Hank’s family and to all who loved him. I know my dad, Howie, was one of them.

He was always so joyful. One of my childhood memories is of him driving with his knees just to make us screen. I will miss that smile.

Sincere condolences to all the family. I have good memories of Christmas at St. Georges Wexford. Henry and Judy never missed the service and Judy played the organ.

Dear Laurie, Tracy, Erin and Everly - Uncle Hank was such a wonderful character! I have so many happy memories of the Asbil visits to Georgeville, the fishing trip (and other escapades) stories, his big heart, laugh and bear hugs. You are in my thoughts, sending you much grace and love.

Hank’s hearty smile will be remembered by all of us who knew him. To be in his presence was certainly to be in a warm, welcoming space. Even the animals felt that. We will hold on to those memories in admiration for a life well-lived.
