Searr, Jeannette nee Cockburn 1934-2020It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeannette Searr on Wednesday December 9th, 2020. Jeannette at the age of 86 passed away peacefully.Dearly beloved wife of Roland Searr for 64 years. Loving mother of the late Glenn (Sylvie). A loving sister to the late Geraldine “Gerry” (Victor Allen), the late Marilyn and she is survived by her brother Howard Cockburn. She is also survived by other relatives, friends and will be dearly missed by all.A private cremation will be held and a memorial service celebrating her life will take place at a later date. I am deeply saddened by Jan's passing. I have known her since 1982 when we were neighbours in Sherbrooke, Quebec. We spent so much time with Rollie and Jan at their house, and in their pool that hot summer. After my daughter Tara was born that summer, Jan was like another mother to her. Tara affectionately called her Auntie Jan, and the love between them was very special. Jan took care of Tara when I went back to work. When they moved to Ontario, we were heartbroken, but saw them every chance we got. It was a good move for them, and they enjoyed their homes in Ontario. I will miss Jan always, but I am so grateful that I got to know her and call her my dear friend for so many years. I will never forget her. Heartfelt condolences to Rollie, and her many friends and relatives. I will always have the special memories of the time we spent together.
