Blaschke, Peter (Hegde) 1958-2020
At his residence on Tuesday April 14th, 2020 Peter passed away at the age of 61. Beloved husband of Manon Biard and father of his son Joseph. He is also survived by his father Siegfried (Claudette) and other relatives and friends and will dearly missed by all.
A private cremation was held.

My heart sank when Manon called. I knew Pete as a young boy growing up in Port Credit Ontario. Pete lived in Port Credit upon emigrating from Germany. We went to elementary school together for a few years before he moved - I think around grade 6? Peter was such a nice kid - he had good heart and just wanted to fit in. Now that I think back, the transition mustn't have been easy for him. He was such a gentle, nice, friendly, and kindhearted kid. As kids, Peter and I spent some time hanging out at my place - my entire family loved him. Peter connected with me about 15 years ago - we met up in Toronto and another time in Port Credit -giving us a chance to revisit our old stomping grounds. That visit also gave me the chance to meet Manon, the extraordinary woman, Peter adored. Peter was the most genuine, loyal and authentic person you could ever hope to meet. The world was made richer by his presence and infinitely poorer with his departure, but all who knew him will have his easy smile, hearty laugh, and good memories to carry with us. I wish I had made myself more available to Peter, the last 6 months, when he needed it most. Rest in peace, friend. Mike Pappas Toronto

Dear Peter, you passed on all too soon. Though our time of knowing each other was so brief, you made me feel welcome always. You always asked about me, even when I was not there. Sadly I never had the chance to honour your invitation to go fishing, but I will always remember your warmth, your bubbly personality and your friendship. Rest in peace, Peter. Always, Ed

Dearest Bird - Hedge will be Sadly missed, not only because he is one passionate fisherman, infinite party boy, awesome actor but because he’s simply a nice guy! Our deepest condolences dear Bird. Always in our hearts Daniela, Julian, Jada and Pierre
