On August 19, 2026, at the age of 78, Allen Spencer passed away peacefully at The Heather. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; his four children, Sharon, Ryan, Matt (Emma), and Jarrod; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson. He also leaves behind three surviving siblings, along with many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A lifelong Gratten Laker, Allen was always ready to lend a helping hand to any neighbour in need and was a bright, active presence in both the Gratten Lake and Rawdon communities. Naturally creative, he was constantly drawing, building, or fixing things with his hands. He possessed a wonderful sense of humour and a unique knack for turning almost any song into a personalized jingle.
Allen could frequently be spotted in the early morning or quiet evening hours taking some well-deserved “me time” in his Canada flag canoe—and wherever there was a dance floor, Allen was on it! He had a warm, genuine spark that made anyone feel instantly welcome. Family and friends hold countless stories of his many adventures (and misadventures). We take comfort in knowing that as he begins his next adventure, he is being welcomed with open arms by all those who went before him.
Most importantly, Allen was a devoted husband, a loving father, and “the best little brother anyone could have”. Never one for long lectures or heavy speeches, he chose instead to lead by example through kindness, hard work, and laughter. We hope we make you proud, Dad.
Allen, you left an unforgettable mark on every heart you touched. Until we meet again.

Rest in eternal peace grandpa. He showed us so much warmth and care and gave us numerous laughs when we met in 2015 and I’m forever thankful for that time we had together. Will be forever missed. Love you grandpa and sending all love to the rest of the family.

My deepest sympathies to all his family & friends... Everyone knew him in Gratten Lake & he also knew everyone - always there to lend a helping hand or listening to any one's problems or concerns... He will be greatly missed by MANY, but the only consolation we have, is that he is now at peace in the arms of his ANGELS... He is now being the ALLEN SPENCER that everyone knew him by... We will all meet again, but for now, R.I.P. Allen...

Allen helped me when I purchased my house in Gratten. He sourced materials, delivered them to me and helped shingle the roof. My deepest sympathies to the family. I know he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
