Marilyn Margaret Wyse was a gardener. She grew many things. She attended them with love and patience. Her garden included people. Grandkids , daughter ,sons, uncles, aunts, cousins ,many friends and a husband. All of us were nurtured with her laughter, wisdom and love. She watched us grow. When we needed more love and attention she was steadfast, a strength when we were weak. Watchful of every growth with hope in her heart as we reached for the sun. Now we grow with our roots planted by her care. We lost our precious gardener on March 27th 2026 to pancreatic cancer. Much thanks to the palliative care unit at CHSLD Saint-Michel for their care and dedication (doctors, nurses and preposees). Our gardener went peacefully.Marilyn is survived by a loving husband Norris Kane and three sons, Norris Jr , Christopher and Anthony and her cherished departed daughter, Shonda ,the grandchildren, Asa, Ruben,Zoe, Khalia, Nathaniel and Olivia, and 2 great grandchildren, Aneisa and Anastasia along with many family and friends.A private cremation was held and internment of ashes will be held at a late date.

A mother’s love is like a perennial garden; it may have its seasons of rest, but the beauty she planted in your life will bloom again every year. My sincere condolences.

Warm memories of Marilyn and hopes that she did not suffer too much in her battle with cancer. Whenever she came to NS to visit it was always a genuine pleasure. Sincere thoughts to Norris, and the rest of her family. Terry Kelsey (cousin)

You will always be remembered and have a special place in my heart! I can’t believe your gone, you were always so happy, energetic and full of life it’s like I never thought you’d ever leave. I enjoyed spending time with you and Nory with the kids. You will be truly missed and I’ll never forgive myself for not making it on time to visit you at the chsld after I showed up at the hospital and you had left the day prior. Rest in peace and watch over us from above. You lived a beautiful life and you were truly loved by all. Till we meet again. Xoxo

Growing up with Chris through elementary and high school , I met Marilyn at a very young age. I always thought that she was so beautiful. She was ever present in her children's lives showering them with love. Chris and I lost touched for many years and as luck would have it, we crossed paths at Grace Dart where Shonda was being cared and so was my mom. I saw Marilyn and Norris there often and I thought how lucky Shonda is to have such a caring mom and dad. Also Marilyn never seemed to age, she was as beautiful as ever. Marilyn you were a person who loved with full heart, snd brought happiness to many. Now you can hold Shonda’s hand again and say “it’s ok Mom’s here.” To the entire Kane family our deepest condolences and we are thinking of you during this difficult time. God needed another Angel, rest in peace sweet lady 🙏
